Become a referral partner
Our referral partners issue foodbank vouchers to people in need of support.
On this page:
We work with local organisations to identify the people in our community who need emergency food. Referrals are vital to our work and help people access our services, as well as ensuring they have wider support to address the root causes of hardship in their lives.
Food vouchers
We operate a voucher model, which means people need to be referred for a food voucher before they can access our service. Vouchers are distributed and verified by referral partners.
When creating your food voucher, at the very least during step 4 of the referral (in the notes box) we need to know:
- why the person referred needs a food parcel
- what support is already in place - to avoid duplicate referrals and reduce waiting times
- any other support you need from us (e.g. fuel voucher, SIM card, referral to debt advisor)
As part of this process, partners should also ensure that appropriate support to overcome the drivers of hardship is in place. We offer further signposting and support to ensure people have access to relevant services and organisations to help them change the circumstances that led to hunger, and break cycles of poverty.
If your organisation supports people who find themselves in need of emergency food, you could become a referral partner.
Referral Partner Pledge
This short pledge outlines three key actions we ask referral partners to commit to when signposting individuals to our food services or attending our community drop-ins.
We believe that by working together with shared values, we can offer not just food, but dignity, stability, and connection.
